Welcome to A Lakeside Retreat. We are located
on North Lake just a short 5 minute drive to the world famous Skookumchuck
Rapids and just outside the Village of Egmont, BC. Our casual laid back lifestyle
creates a perfect place to relax and unwind from the hectic pace of the big
cities. Our suites have been designed with your comfort in mind; large comfortable
queen size beds with Egyptian cotton sheets.

The Serenity Suite is beautifully appointed with a queen size bed, stunning water views and a snack kitchen for your convenience. The claw foot soaker tub will melt away your stress. How about a fresh cup of coffee in the morning sitting on the dock listening to the loons?
The Serenity Suite is a private room facing the waterfront at North Lake. This spacious suite has it's own private dining area along with ensuite bathroom and deck overlooking the water.
For a day of adventure check the charters to Princess Louisa and Chatterbox Falls. These charters leave on a regular basis from the dock in Egmont, just ten minutes away. For more information see Sunshine Coast Tours. We would be happy to make you a reservation on the tour and can arrange all the details at the time of your booking.
The mini kitchen is great for preparing light snacks, coffee, tea and comes complete with dishes, coffee maker, toaster oven and microwave. Heat up some snacks and then sit on the deck overlooking the water. Or better yet, how about a paddle in the complimentary canoe, pedal boat or row boat? Explore the lake and enjoy the peace and quiet

Welcome to the inside world of the McClary Suite. This private, comfortable suite overlooks the the dock at North Lake. Stroll down the water or relax in your room complete with gas fireplace, snack kitchen and a comfy bed.
The Mclary Suite, named after the old fashioned cook stove that adorns the room, will keep you in the greatest of comfort. Slip beneath the Egyptian cotton sheets or lounge in a traditional clawfoot soaker tub while looking out over the water. What could be better?
The McClary suite has its own private dining area so you can enjoy an in-room continental breakfast each morning. If you prefer, we welcome you to enjoy your coffee on the dock and watch the day begin as the sun comes up over the lake.
The McClary suite has been designed with all the comforts of home. A VCR/DVD is provided so you can watch a movie. Or better yet, relax in the old fashioned soaker tub where you can open the shutters for a view of the water. After a day spent at the Skookumchuck rapids you'll be ready to unwind in the hot tub and then slip between the sheets for a great night's rest. The McClary suite awaits you . . . |

This cottage is also great for a quick winter escape as just 2 hours from Vancouver. How about some snow shoeing, hike the trails or try some mountain biking. For the more adventurous, Lakeside cottage is located just 5 minutes from the whitewater kayakers dream... Skookumchuck Rapids.

North Lake Estate is a private lakefront luxury vacation home nestled on a secluded point of land on the shores of North Lake.
Sit on our sandy beach and soak up the sun in this tranquil environment or enjoy your coffee on the deck while you listen to the call of the loons off in the distance. The large 2 bedroom home is big enough for the family, and just a short walk to the famous Skookumchuck Narrows.
North Lake Estate is the perfect lakefront cottage getaway year round. In the summer the lake reaches warm temperatures for swimming and in the winter enjoy a book by the fireplace or try your luck fishing for lake trout.
There are no motorized boats on North Lake, so if peace and quiet is what you’re looking for then you have come to the right spot.
Just a short drive away is the Backeddy Pub & Marina and the sea. Here you can take a cruise on world famous Princess Louisa or try a burger in the pub while you watch the boats come and go. |

Our main policy is to ensure your stay at A lakeside Retreat truly memorable. We understand that things come up from time to time so we have provided our cancellation policy here for your reference.
Bed and Breakfast
A full refund if you let us know within 30 days of your reservation date.
A one day charge if you let us know less than 14 days of your reservation
date. If you cancel within 7 days we will attempt to refill the room.
If we are successful there will be no charge but if we are not then there
is no refund.
